I'm a newbie
Hey guys I'm new to this website and just wanted to say hi. I have just purchased my first supercharged fourstroke seadoo. It's an 03 GTX limited SC. I've always had two strokes before this. I was just wondering is there anything i should be more cautious to with the four stroke or supercharger. I've heard that when launching on waves it's not good to hold the throttle open and that some guys hearing a high pitched whine if they leave the water with the supercharger. Anything u guys can tell would be great. Anyway Hello and thanks for the input!

You should let off the gas when on the air if wave jumping...

What are the metal washers for the SC clutch and what do they do? Do they allow the engine to rev after breaking free from the water?

u have an 03 ski, so don't worry about it, you won't have utter desturction like the 04+ models... the supercharger is a problem on all the skis, but ur edition is the most forgiving when it decides to fail. you don't have these little ceramic pieces in your supercharger that decide to break apart and drop into the motor.
when/IF your supercharger wears out and needs a rebuild, THEN you will need to update it to the newest specs with metal washers, but don't fix it till it's broke on the 03 skis.... on the 04+ skis, fix it before it breaks.
read the owners manual cover to cover, it's VERY informative... u ride in salt water? if so flush the machine. make sure u start the engine before turning the hose on, let it run 2 minutes, then turn the hose off first, then turn the engine off last. **Remember, when flsuhing NEVER have the hose running without the engine running. motor is first thing ON and last thing OFF.
browse the tech and FAQ section in the seadoo forum... lots of helpful tips, and any questions or problems feel free to post and ask!
welcome to the forum

Thanks for the comments guys. I understand that i need to turn on the ski before turning on the hose but can i ask why this needs to be done can it flood something or cause a hydrolock?
