Does anyone have a How-To on moving the battery to teh rear of the hull on a GPR? Im trying to move my battery and CDI to get rid of the battery bucket in my 01'. Im tired of moving it to get to anything when workign on it.

i belive it was QuickMick that was making some sort of tray that gave easy access to the rear of the ski but, dont quote me on that.

Good idea! That thing is a pain. A few quick disconnects and I could live with it in place.

Contact QuickMick, he has a battery box mod. Here are his pics http://www.hydrotoys.com/gpr/tuners/quickmick/
Here is R&D's Battery Box
Here is an excerpt from http://www.wppracing.com/Technical%20Modifications.htm
(1) Remove the battery ,fire extinguisher and CDI Box.
(2) Cut the area that holds the battery from the stock container.
(3) Remove the rubber attaching parts from the box. and attach battery box.
(4) Clean the right corner and secure the box to the hull with epoxy and stainless steel screws. Apply silicone between the box and the side of the hull to help reduce vibration.
(5) Install the battery and reroute the battery cables- you will have plenty of cable.
(6) Remove the excess material from the stock box.
(7) Install the fire extinguisher .

Heres some pics of the bracket that Carl @ Island made, I dont know if he still makes or sells them anymore. I used ther Riva battery box. You completely remove the old battery box and cut the bolts, then drill out the holes for the new bolts that hold the bracket. It moves the electrical box completely behind the inner transom and my #3 pipe doesnt even come close to rubbing. I then moved the fire extinguisher to the front.
