To garage or not to garage?

To garage or not to garage? I live in NY and it gets cold and there is alot of rain . If I keep my boat for 10years do I want to definately put it in a garage to keep it out of the elements vs. just in my driveway with shrinkwrap and mildew bags . Any opinions? Thankyou

    Storage

If I had the room I would keep it in the garage, still winterize it just in case the temp. in the garage drops
What part of New York, my dad was born and raised in Hammondsport right on Qeuka Lake and have family in Rochester

If the garage is not heated your still gonna have to do all the winterize procedures to protect from freezing temps. If you have a spot in your driveway where the boat can be put out of your way and locked up, I would just leave it at home. That's gonna be a $1,000-$1,200 your gonna save for the winter storage

Maybe you could use some of that money and get a good custom fitting boat cover to protect it while it's in your driveway

Happy Winterizing and don't forget the damp rid in the engine compartment and in the hull of the boat to prevent mold and mildew

wow thats alot for storage. i paid $160 for a whole year. I found a place in the country in a barn that is used for storing boats now. In doors is always better, how much room do you have at your place? you can buy protable garages for about $200 witch is good enough to keep the snow off of it.
