    impeller question

i have stock impellers on both my machines, they appear in good shape . no nicks , or visable damage , and clearances look tight . just wondering what kind of improvement i would get with a new or high performance impeller , and would i have to do engine mods .

both machines have very good compresion , and run perfect right now .

Polaris respond very well due to newer impellers. You can google Skat trak and talk to them directly. Very nice guys and informative. Swirl type impellers work really well (skat trak) also heard good news on the solas concord series and the Nujet 7.0

Not to sound ignorant, but what exactly is a swirl-type impeller. I thought they all look like a swirl...

My understanding of the difference (which could be incorrect or incomplete) is that the non-swirl impellers have a leading blade edge that is essentially straight from the hub out to the blade edge.

A swirl impeller leading edge is curved from the blade root out to the outer edge.
