155 NA models benefit from cam timing?

A friend of mine has a 06 GTX 155 and he asked me if you can adjust the cam timing a few degrees for a gain. I said it wouldn't be too hard to try it. Advance it? Retard it? Any guesses if there would be any gains?

retarding the cam timing emulates a longer duration cam at upper rpm, advancing would increase bottom end response. any gains will probably be hardly noticable, but who knows.
