sealing exhaust manifold RXT-X
I took my exhaust manifold off,not to difficult to do on a rxt-x,the waterhoses wouldn't come of,with a little bit of heat they finally came off.
There is no sealent or gasket between the manifold and motor.
Next i had the hole drilled for the afr sensor.
To be safe i put a helicoil in ,aluminium is a soft metal(i had no other choice the hole was drilled to big!)
The time has come to install him back on.
I was thinking of putting some sealent on the manifold just to be safe.
I know it isn't necessary but i think it wouldn't hurt,i just want to make sure i have no exhaust fumes in my hull.
What do you think about it,please give my some advice on this one.
Thanks in advance!

I put high temp on my manifold before..when i pulled it off to put the torque plate on all the silicone was squeezes out..There is really no need to put it on BUT it wont hurt it either..

The sealent i use is the one used for crankcases, high temp and highpressure proof.
After installing it wont come of anymore, its only off for the drilling.
