Yamaha 1100 Motor
Just pulled one of the motors on my 97 exciter 220. The crank Bearing is seized. needs a topend overhaul as well.
Looking for a used good condition 1100 motor that runs.

Since Yamaha hasn't made a 1100 engine ski or boat in over 10 years, I think you would be better off rebuilding yours. That way you know what you got. I saw a 1100 Wave Raider on Craigslist for just over a 1000. Just my 2 cents.

Yea I was thinking the same thing. I was also thinking about getting a sbt rebuilt and turning in my core.. Whats your 2 cents on that?
I also was checking out craigslist for the same thing. What years and ski was that motor in? Maybe i could find one on there and then part out the rest of the ski.
With the motor you have, I'm in the same boat. Bad crank bearing. Seems like a common problem?

The 24th I'm getting married so i will have to wait a couple of weeks till i start hunting one down.
But i think i have made up my mind. I will find a ski on criagslist and use that motor and then part out the ski. I have seen some good deals with rebuilt engines as well. So i think Jamie (spdracr) was right.(to find a ski with a excellent running motor) Then ill just part out the rest of the ski
