    Questions about 2rude rebuild

My 2rude upgrade with 07 stuff is getting tired and it's time to upgrade to the 08 up rebuild kit. What do you guys think about the OEM metal washers that come in the kit. Should I toss them and go for the Rivas? What do you SC smart guys recommend. Think the OE the bearings are good enough for the 2rude? I'm ok with spending the $$$ if I need to, but $ spent on overkill is $$ that could go elsewhere. Guys give me some guidance please.

Discard the oem washers and upgrade to Riva's. The new stock bearings will be fine. I put in gen2 ceramic bearings once but that was not necessary. I should have stuck to the oem's and saved the money.

Thanks for the reply Larry. I was wondering if anyone has had problems with the OEM metal washers. I couldn't find anything, but vaguely remember reading it somewhere.

Yes, there was a bunch of folks having problems with them breaking. Cleanup was easier than with ceramics but they were still breaking. I really would recommend spending money on riva washers instead of oem's.

Definitely put the riva washers on it. too many stock 08 washers that have had failures. Too much risk IMO for the value for the riva washers.

I did the 08 upgrade on my Bkit...Stick with the OEM bearings and parts, use RIVA washers, and 5 Mcmaster springs, that will get you to 165-170 slip when wet and will hold for a long time

Sell the OEM washers on Ebay.
