    R&D SHO sponsons

    Are these the same as the R&D FZR/S sponsons or are the backing plates designed differently I ordered the SHO ones accidentally for my FZS

    R & D has different parts number for the FX & FZ sponsons.

    dammit...what would be the difference the backing plate holes i guess?

    Nope...Yamaha uses the same inserts for the FZ & FX. The only thing I could think is the back plate is at a different angle because of the two different hulls and the angle of them.

    Just got word from Jerry that these are in fact the same sponsons, same backing plates and all but have different part #'s interesting.

    They do that with their X model intake grates too. They have a separate part number for RXT-X and RXP-X but they are the same exact grate.
