Hello, I did a search but didnt see anyone get this code at idle. I had my ski in the garage and went out to start it up to get the juices flowing. I let it run about 3 minutes and then this exhaust code flashed. Turned it off, took the seat off and could smell a bit of a burning smell. I sucked it up and put it in the water and started it, code when off again but then immediately stopped. I turned it off and then back on and took it out and didnt get the code again.
my question is could the exhaust really over heat that fast out of the water? do i have anything to worry about? no water no leaks no loose clamps. Just a bit concerned about how fast it overheated and the smell which was gone after I put it in the water.
Any feedback would be much appreciated. thanks

The Computer may have still registerd the code at the time of start up in the water, it may have taken it a minute to register it once you got it in the water and started to cool it off....Give it a good run and see if it still comes on..You really shouldnt run these things without any kind of water going to them for any length of time..Especially 3 minutes...It takes the exhaust no time to get hot..Real hot...

Thanks yet again Snoman. I appreciate your help. I guess I just needed some reassurance that it will be ok
