Some of us run automotive gear oil in our pumps instead of the grease..If you dont get all the grease out the gear oil mixed with the grease will give you a soupy mixture till it gets changed out enough..

Alright, now do i take the cone off, do what i need to do and pour it in the pump bearing area till its full then cap it? or install a ss hex cap like the older model ski's? i know this is dumb thread but i want to do this because i've already had to rebuild a RXP pump and have never rebuilt the older oil style, just do the maint yearly
