Has anyone used this PWC stand?

Saw this stand and it looked pretty good and a good price. Says it will hold most 3 seater PWC's. Should it be good for a RXT or GTX? Thanks

Look in my avatar. Yes, I have this stand and it is Junk IMO. The 2X6 seams to want to split with my ski on it and it scares me. THe design is just not good.

Water4fire, yeah I agree with you, looks like a weak design, especially when you have a 900lbs ski sitting on it.

I built this stand out of 2" square tubing (welded design). It has a swivel hinge that'll conform to any hull design, I've made quite a few of them for others too, it's incredible sturdy and makes moving your ski around into tight spaces very easy. Also great for working on your hull & safe.

not to brag or anything but i made a few stand out of 2X4 and used an assload of screws, and i got a ski full of gas and me and my brother got on it while on the stand, my ppl on this forum have done their own stand, i think the worse and expensive DIY stand would be PVC. with time it will get brittle and you will spend more on PVC than wood.

You can make your own, as stated, out of wood but it will cost somewhat more than 10 bucks unless you have lumber laying around the homestead.

If you are an unfortunate like me, you will be garageless and will need treated wood which makes it a little more expensive.

Still, it is not nearly as expensive as one that is commercialy made.

I made one out of scraps from the deck we put on our house and it holds our '02 GTX no problem. Picked up some big wheel casters from Harbor Freight and that sucker is handy.

Here are a couple of pics of it and the Aquacart I got a great deal on from a buddy.

I make no claims to being a carpenter but with a skill saw (and little skill) it holds a three seater and can roll around in the yard with it (though it may take two to do that particular tango).

    me too,

I built one exactly like this, this is not mine, but mine is similar
you must cut the top part at a angle to accomodate the ski nicely.

I have had several of these over the years... zero complaints!

However... if your looking to spend 10 bucks... nevermind
