    Pro 785 seat

I had a thought, (one of many), while looking through old threads gathering information and inspiration. Would a 785 Pro seat fit on an SL hull? I really like the look of the 'single seater'. Not that mine is bad because it is actually in really good shape, only two small tears at the back, which I can fix easily enough, and it is overall faded. I apologize for starting so many threads about my 'random' thoughts, but it helps to get my ideas out in the open so I can remember them and hopefully get some insight into what others have done and what works.

My SL1050 is a '97 model and it has the single seat also, but with the slight bump in the back so there may be other options other than the Pro785 for the seat and usually parts on the SL's are usually a little cheaper than the Pro models by what I have seen

does your 1050 have one latch in the back, or one in back and two in front?

There were some hull mods between 95 and 96 on the SL.

The seats were one of them. So a 92-95 seat won't fit on a 96 and newer.

Same goes for a 96 and newer seat fitting on a 92-95.

Best option to achieve the look you're going for is to buy some marine seat foam and add the hump to your existing seat. And get a new seat cover to go over it.

That's good enough for me! I had considered reupholstering it and adding the foam 'bump', but since it is still in fairly good shape, I will probably save the $$ and just ride the thing!

My 96 SL700 has the older style-2 clips in front-1 latch in back. The 96 SLX and SL900 attach the same way and have the hump in the back,I'm pretty sure I tried a 95 seat on my 96 and was fine.

The 97 is definetly different, with 2 latches at the front-1 in the back. The PRO 785 is basically the 97 top hull.I have a 2000 Pro seat on my 97 SL

I actually went outside to try the seat swap.

The 92-95 has the seat seal on the seat, with a little plastic hanging down from it on the underside.

The 96 has the seat seal on the hull, with the 95 not fitting on it because of that plastic on the bottom, and the seat was rubbing on the console.

Would have been a PITA to get the seat to latch.

I stand corrected,Thanks Xlint,My memory isn't what it used to be.(I had something on there-temporary-when bottom was painted ? )

Sorry if I caused any confusion.

I am sure about the 785 seat I have pictures
