BOV is not whistling anymore. Thoughts?

I have also noticed that I lost some acceleration after the bov stopped whistling. Is it a coincidence? Keep in mind that I have a B1 wheel and powershot.

    Thanks in advance.

For the most part, mine has stopped whistling too with the addition of the B1. My guess is that with the amount of air that is dumping now with the increased boost that both stages of the BOV are opening at once and the air is not squeezing by the rubber flaps.

It did whistle once on wednesday during a speed run when i chopped the throttle from wide open to half because i was running out of room heading towards shallow water.

The ski settled down nicely from 75mph with the 1/2 throttle chop. I hope no full throttle chops are in my near future.

You didn't state what brand BOV you have but my HKS came with an in-line filter.

I would definately look at that.

Are these blow off valves you guys using adjustable?

If so, are they adjusted properly?

Any change in boost (increasing it with new wheel) will require you to re-adjust it.

They work the exact same way as if on a car.

Ive never owned any BOV that ever had to be adjusted.

What brand BOV are you using?

Is the bypass noise totally gone or just the absense of a "whistle"

Open your seat on the trailer and rev'n'release. If you hear any bypass air, then you should be fine.

Since these boats werent equipped with bypass valves maybe the upgraded wheel was R&Deed to minimize compressor surge, thereby reducing the workload of your BOV

Depending on the brand, the adjustment could be washers added or removed, or by turning a set screw.

Turbo XS is one that is adjustable that I have used.
    GREDDY is another.

I am no expert, but it sounds like a leak. Check it out to make sure it is on tight.
