OK i put my ski back together adn the damn thing will turn over for about 5 seconds then stop itself. It will never fire up though. THen the warnign light stays on and you cant try to start if for about 15-20 seconds then the same thing again. I put an old plug in one of the wires adn none of the wires have a spark.
So then I put in a borrowed advent and it started right up.
I know it has somethign to do with my factory electrical box, but what is it? BTW I did install a Pro-Tec CDI a month ago, but the ski ran fine when i disassembled the exhaust and carbs last weekend. Now it does this stupid no starting thing.

did you check the temp sensor ? or is the wire damaged...mine did the same thing and it was the damm temp sensor.

temp sensor wasnt plugged in. On either the stock or the advent, my pipe doesnt have one. Am I correct in assuming the advent is made to run the motor with it disconnected and the stock one has to have it connected to get spark to the spark plugs.
I ran a jumper wire on teh temp sensor harness and it didint change the outcome on the stock box.?????????

You need to have the temp sensor pluged up on the stock or pro-tec CDI, you don't have to mount it in your pipe, just have it plugged up. The advent or the r&d ignition lets you turn that function off so you dont need
one at all.

hahahaha, see told you Tim. You probably didn't plug it up right the first time when we told ya. So plug it up. I will pull your temp sensor off your other pipe, but man, that thing looks beat up pretty bad.
I'll bring it sunday with me.
