Opinion needed please - Riva Waterbox or standard thru-hull?

With and T-X standard waterbox config., do you think it makes a difference going to one of the new Riva waterboxes or would the standard riva thru-hull exhaust mod be a better option to go with?

Is the flow / performance that much better on the Riva version? Is sound that much different either?

IMO... a water box will give you nothing but sound. However... there are benefits to having aftermarket water boxes, they can clean up the hull nicely inside, and make for much easier SC removal.

A Riva or gutted waterbox will give you sound BUT it also reduses back pressure causing better exhaust flow..This in turn will increase performance...

On his bone stock RXP-X Dan (JD1) said he gained 150-200 RPM, 1+mph, and half a second off the ski's 0-60mph time (proven with a stalker radar gun) by adding the Riva waterbox. It's forced induction, like snoman said you want to eliminate as much back pressure as possible. It might not make as big of a difference on lower boost skis, but I bet it will make a nice difference on skis needing to relieve more back pressure.

Scott W, your clips sound really good! I think I'm sold....

Taking my ski to Tims Ford tomorrow to have them service and check out my pump tunnel. Figured I would have them look at it that way if it fails on me, atleast my dealer was aware. They are very cool to deal with by the way...

Was going to drop ship them the box, rude tip and coupler and have it installed while its there.

Good decision. Be sure they quote you a price to install as if they have never done one it will take them much longer then expected.
    There going to love you!!!!

I hope they know all the tips to installing the rear hull on the couch.

Atleast you already got the opas removed as they will have to remove your left RE.

I love it ever time I hear of someone installing rear exhuast on the couch.
