Polaris Stock Sponson Mod
Cutting the last, rear section off of the stock sponsons will allow the nose of the boat to rise and result in a speed increase.
Simply remove the stock sponson and cut the last section off, making sure to leave that last "web" in tact.
Reinstall in the stock location (all the way forward) and fill in the now empty hole with a bolt that's roughly a 1/2" shorter.
It's a nice little increase in speed, it softens up the ride, and best of all, it's free!!!
If you know that you're going to be riding in some ugly water, you have the option of moving them all the way rearward to help plant the nose again!!!

On my SLTX's I went so far as cutting the last two sections off (started with one) and I liked it even better with two cut off. I then move it backwards as you stated when it's going to be ruff out...always bring my star headed screwdriver.

Nice Jetski. I like the idea of 2 sections. Even though I never tried it, I'm all about extremes!!!

Jetski I'm curious, did you gain more speed with the 2nd section cut off?
How does it handle in the rough stuff?
What are you running for a ride plate and intake grate?
I think it would be interesting to give it a try.

We raced offshore with them cut. It made for a much less jarring landing when coming across wavetops.

I see you and Joe went to the same school of "paint-my-rails."

Indeed, it works great until you start slamming into other boats.
