Flush Port SCIC...where does it go...

I see contradicting posts, or maybe I am reading them wrong. 07 SCIC 4tec, when on the flush port, does it flush the intercooler to the exhaust manifold and out the exhaust....a few posts suggest it only flushes the exhaust.....so what is the flush flow?

    TIA Ned

The flush port flushes everything, ic, exhaust manifold and exhaust.

Everything still gets flushed out... the only difference is the water flows in the opposite direction.

So from the flush port how does it work to get to the IC and EM?

Look at that picture, and imagine the arrows going the opposite direction. Water enters the J-pipe, flows through the exhaust manifold, then into the IC... etc.

Sure I can see that , but what about exhaust pressure? as it dumps in the j-pipe wouldn't it blow out the exhaust? or is it jacketed there?

OK now that makes sense, obviously I have not pulled them apart, and when I looked at the diagram was curious how that would flow back through IC and EM while running
, being jacketed makes sense.....thank you...
