Best Intake Grate for Hole Shot on RXPX

I have a full stage 1 on my ski, and since the intake grate closes up your pump tunnel I was wondering if runing my stock intake grate would I regain some hole shot?

If not what is the best grate. I have the Riva one now and I just ordered the R&D.

IMO I would moddify the stock grate (cut the wings off) as I have found it to be the best

Do you have a PX? I thought I heard of guys stuffing on PXs with modded stock grates. If anyone wants a stock PX grate cheap PM me.

What problem are you having with your holeshot? What top speed are you trying to make? As speed increases on a PX you need to use a different grate to be safe. The R&D maybe the safest, but you have to get the prop just right, have a good wear ring, and run a 83 nozzle to have a good holeshot. I think the WORX is the best for speeds up to 77-79mph.

WORX Grate I had it on my X and it was the best one. Best hole shot and great in chop and you don't sacrifice that much speed....

    Listen to this man!

DO NOT cut the wings on your stock PX grate

Use the WORX grate for speeds under 78ish and R&D for anything past that.

Watch this video. The RXPX in the right lane at 3:27. That is what a overstuff is. Thats JAWZ(Jeff) or RXPSTAN(Stan) riding the RXPX. Think you can hang on to that shock:. Be careful please.

I'm missing it. Where does it happen? At the end of the run right before the camera pans away? I can't really see what happened.

And freakin Dan's RXP is SMOKING

Re: Best Intake Grate for Hole Shot on RXPX

That video, and other hydro vids, are fun to watch.

It'll be interesting to see what dans new boat does!

For OP..... I hav tried worx an r/d. They both have their strengths and weaknesses IMO.

Get both and see which one YOU like best.

    What's wrong with the riva??
