Riva Stage 3 on FZS test results.

I want to post my first impression....its a beast!!! The motor is so powerful that it can't pass all that power to the water. With Riva intake grate and reduction nozzle, Skat trak 13/25 pump plugs and everything perfectly sealed, you can't start with full throttle. The top speed on my GPS is 78,7 mph with 82mm ring but I have the feeling I'm hitting the rev. limiter. My Pet 2000 isn't working after 7750 rpm and the needle of the boat's tacho shows 8500 rpm but it's incorrect. The motor works perfect and the BOV the way it should. Now there is a lot of work to be done to the pump area to transmit the power to the water. Many thanks to the Riva team for that great work!

When did Riva release a Stage 3 for the FZR? I thought mods at the level of Stage 3 would include the ECU + other goodies to make double the stock HP provide speeds around the mid to high 80's???

I'm a Riva dealer in Greece so I had the opportunity to have one of the first kits. As you said stage 3 include everything including Vipec ECU and as I said the motor is capable of more than 80mph. It just need the set up of the hull and pump to get these speeds. This post is for my first impression of the motor.

What else are you going to have to do to the pump and hull to reach these speeds?

Thanks for sharing and please keep us updated on the process.

With some tweaking and tuning he will be over 80.

Riva does not have the stage 3 kit listed in their online stores yet but the kit will consist of the following parts, all of which are available individually.

    1 RIVA/ViPEC ECU
    1 Riva E1 supercharger impeller
    1 Riva Intercooler Kit
1 Riva HKS blow off valve kit
    1 Riva intake manifold upgrade
    1 Riva power filter kit
1 Riva free flow exhaust kit
    1 Riva Intake Grate
    1 Riva Pump Seal Kit
    1 Skat Trak 13/25 Impeller
    1 Riva engine cooling kit
1 Riva fuel pressure regulator kit
    1 Riva Sponsons
    1 Riva Ride Plate

So this kit has no internal part changes? Does it still use the stock injectors?

If this is true I am impressed with it.

No internal part changes and the Riva/ViPec is mapped to use the stock injectors.

Sounds like a good kit, any chance Riva has a price on this yet?

So what is the difference between the 310 kit and the 330 kit besides the obvious HP number?
