    analyze this

just took my cylinder head off and is on its way to lowell.after 42 hrs of salt water riding and of course WOT riding, there seem to be NO imperfections or gouges on cylinder walls or cylinder domes, ,just your normal oil buildup. the water passages have some buildup crud even though i flush after every ride, i like to know from these pics anything to be aware of.Click image for larger version.

your going to get slimey salt water crud in the jackets and most likely see it by the anodes in the head.

if it is stock the wash looks normal. your raising the compression, run an efi controller...

Running Amsoil synthetic will help clean up the oil residue. Water passages will fall victim to the salt (another reason I will never buy a used salt water ski)

It accelerates corrosion of the coolant passages, that's unavoidable, even if you flush after every ride

12+ years riding in salt water only with a saline of 22 plus, never a days problem with correct maintenance in place on a modern pwc, never seen a water passage eaten/corroded on a correctly maintained craft,

    salt corosion

i find salt corosion if long term of neglect could start to dry out your hoses and insulation wiring,i water mist spray under the seat and all engine and wiring then come back with a silicone protectant spray, do i need to do this? well it makes me sleep better at night
