Rebuild 1100 Crankshaft or buy used One

I have a broken 1100 crankshaft. Would it be more cost effective to rebuild it or buy a used one?

How many hours do you typically get out of a crankshaft. I'm afraid if I buy a used one I won't get a season out of it?

I used a rebuilt one from SBT and put about 250 hours of WOT on it before I sold it. I had zero issue...and the quality looked good. I know there are haters...but I'm just referencing the one I had from them worked great.

    $350 exchange

I would get a new crank I wouldnt rebuild it.
Is your front crank bearing still good by any chance
I have a 1200 crank thats interchangable with the 1100 crank but I have no front bearing.
I would be interested in selling you the crank for $175 or posibbly buying you old crank bearing from you if its still good.
Then sell the old crank as a core

Are you sure 1100/1200's are interchangeable?

I know the crank bearings are dont see why the cranks would be diferent unless the stroke was diferent.
If it didnt fit I would let you return it and split shiping you pay one way I pay the other.
Its a good crank I swaped it out for a T/W. one.

I think Mike P. has convinced me into the SBT. However, I'd be more than willing to sell you my front bearing. I don't have the ski in front of me, but I believe the middle one was the one that gave out so the other two front and back were fine.

Trust me when I say there will be 1,0000 folks say stay away from SBT...but, it was my only option at the time and the old "Raider" I had was very very fast..and was one of the fastest pump gas set up's back in early 2000 It was rode in the Rivers of FL and was I would guess 95% WOT the entire 250+hours I used it prior to selling it to another guy. Never had a single issue....EVER. IS there stuff as good as OEM...NO...but it's a good option for $350 and comes with a warranty
