Thread: Triple pipes?

Okay, someone told me this project would be addictive. I have to agree at this point. I found myself looking for a way to ship a hull to Alberta, Canada (without much luck, mind you). I for some reason really want to get one of these PRO 785s to play with. In the mean time, I have begun to seriously think about triple pipes for my SLeeper project. Who made pipes that fit the 750/780 motors in the SL hulls? And what are the odds of finding a set any more? I understand this kinda goes away from my 'complete stock look' idea, but like somebody told me, who's gonna look under the seat anyways. I just figure, I may as well have some fun with these machines! And let the wife experience some real power!!!

Man, you are just gonna hurt your wallet, one way or another
At the rate you're going, just buy TWO Pro 785's, and be done with it.
Just for fun, here is Kedanno's triple pipe configuration, using PSI triple pipes. There were a few triple pipe options made back in the day, but they are rather hard to find these days.
beerdart went at it from a different direction, and dropped an entire 785 Pro motor with pipes into an SLT hull. It might even be for sale

PSI was the only maker of trippple pipes for the 650/750/780.
They were $2000 back in 1994
There are some sets out there, but kinda hard to find.
They have only 2 speeds: idle and HOLD ON
Not a good exhaust for rough water since you're constantly coming unhooked.
Not sure what your wife is like, but my girl didn't like it at all. Too fast for her.
She was afraid of getting hurt.
If you or the wife wanna just cruise, that's not going to happen.

Yeah, good point. I should probably just do this one up like I had planned. I have pretty much finished porting and polishing the stock 650/750 exhaust manifold anyways. There's pics in my project thread. I will most likely keep this one looking stock.
Now if I can find myself a PRO 785.....and a way to ship it. I may have to get it to Montana, then go pick it up myself.

You are ADDICTED! Yep, can ya hear the triples now? Ping ping-ding-ding-din phrapp phrapp! It's ok , The virus has already hit me. (A 2000 pro in route in a week! ) and a few others in here!
Ask chopper or lugs about triples. I think chopper has a few sets. Not sure if there for Pros or 750/650. I think there for pros but you could ask him to find out if interested.
Or buy a Pro for you and just finish hers like you said.

by a pro motor and pipes and fit it into the sl hull.mind you around 70 the sl hulls can get a little squirrely

I will just build this one with a single pipe and worry about the triples when I find a 785 hull to work with.
