    Mods for RXT-X

Looking for a winter project. I have an 08 RXT-X I love the hole shot. What mods can I do to increase the hole shot. Top speed does not matter to me 70 MPH is quick enough.

The first thing you should do to your T-X is reinforce the pump tunnel BEFORE you get stress cracks. Read the how to section about this topic, do a search for "tunnel cracks" and you will get your eyes watered! Numerous posts by myself, "jpt7779", "pet", "stsperformance", "skoepp", etc, etc.....

    Once that is done properly:
    1. send impeller to "duke" for repitch or purchase Solas 15/22R
    2. fill ride plate holes with JB Waterweld
    3. add bilge pump, strainer, and 4" kanaflex intake - see how to section for link for all 3 in one article by myself
    4. stock grate will give the BEST hole shot but, riva grate will give add 1-2 mph on top end, use Worx grate for ocean riding
    5. wax your hull
    6. trim reverse bucket
    7. install new spark plugs
    8. change oil and fill to just below full
    9. use only premium fuel
    10. use stock nozzle for acceleration or use 83mm nozzle for top end speed
    11. remove flame arrestor from intake manifold through throttle body

I put a R&D Intake Grate on - the hole shot is still good but my fuel usage is MUCH better. I combined this with a Kana Flex 4in install. Used to run at 7400-7600 RPMs - now runs at 7980!

I think you need some prop work to get up in the 8050-8100 range.

    I agree,i would try 1.5 mm downward bending ,would give 150 rpm's.
This way you don't use the full potential of the ski.
