    Low on oil!

My 05 RXP was 1.5 quarts low. PTO seal was leaking. Do you guys think this may have damaged my engine? No alarms or anything. Noticed oil in the bilge after riding? What should I do?

If you got no alarm, chances are it will be fine.

Thanks Speedskixp. I had a POS car as a kid and I added oil when the valves started to rattle. It kept it running too, but it wasn't spinning 8100 RPM either. LOL
    Thanks for the quick reply.

+1, The ski would have alarmed if the oil became dangerously low...

The valves don't rattle with low oil pressure - it's the valve lifters that rattle... Ron

No one likes a smart azz. No oil, so lifters cannot maintain zero lash. Technically the noise is the tapping between the valve stem and the rocker arm. Between the rocker and the pushrod. And between the pushrod and the lifter not just the lifter. But who really cares. Anyone who as seen the inside of an engine and know what a hydraulic lifter is knows what I'm talking about and also know its is generally referred to as valve noise...
