Damn It-I hate deals
Damn It-I hate deals, Was doing a little search today and ran across a '97? SL750 on a decent galvinized single place trailer for 300 frostys.
Of course it has a burnt cylinder on it. It's about 5 miles from work, I talked to the guy today and it's suppose to have a great MFD,over all the picture makes the ski look good. So I guess I'll have to go take a look at it tomorrow.
Guess I won't pass it up for that price.

The trailer and the good MFD are worth the 300 hundee. (175 and125)

Wow, I wouldn't pass that up either! I can't even get a used trailer here for $300. Part it out and you could make some money! In fact, if you do part it out and it has a good crankshaft, I call dibs!!!

I see a lot of these laying around yards around lake saint clair. most look like they have sitting in the sun for years. with dirt n dust on them. I bet I could get a few pretty cheap.
Probably that PTO piston in every one too! lol

Yep. I got my '94 SLT750 for $300. Trailer was junk, but the engine had been replaced in the last few years. 120PSI even on all 3 cylinders and it has spark. The ski just needs the 3-outlet pump upgrade, the carbs run through, and a couple of minor fixes here and there.
I worked out a deal and got a very nice Karavan 2X trailer to fit both this ski and my existing '96 SLT780.
I also have a line on a '95 SL750 that has no spark. I think a little multi-meter detective work should find the problem on this ski. I haven't checked compression on this one, but the PTO cylinder is discolored so it's been real hot at some point. If I can't get this one running, it would still make a great donor ski for parts, and possibly some parts to put on the market.
And to think, 18 months ago I was considering selling the 780, now I keep acquiring more skis. Geez, this really is some kind of weird addiction. Is there a cure for this or does it just keep getting worse (at least until the money runs out)?

I know the feeling Danno.
All kinds of deals out there and I have no $$$ right now. DOH!!!
John it does get worse.....
J, you just summerized my wholw pwc experience.
What amazes me are the # of 750's out there. They were only made for 3 years 92-95, even though that one is a 97. LOL

Jkindt. Your not helping John out! Your making it worse! lol He'll end up finding a PRO and then He's really hit! I got 3 skis now! lol Were all gonna need 4 place trailers soon. Except Lugs, we'll get him a semi for his stuff. Don't crush um, restore them!
Forclosure, Divorce and Death are the only outs.
