    Quick question

I have an 05 rxt and I installed the 3" riva intake. my question is the following there is a rubber hose that runs from the bottom of the intake to the top of the motor. can i eliminate that and install a k&n ventilator rather than run the black hose?? please let me know thanks for any help

Thats the crankcase breather. You need to install a catch can to collect the fluid that will come out. If you use just a filter oily liquid will be all over your hull.

Unless your running a high boost SC and or puking a lot of fluid... a catch can is not necessary with the riva 3" intake... considering that is has a place to connect the hose. Just as the factory air intake did.

For the smartass comments if I'm asking is because I ALREADY searched and couldn't find anything. I do research before I ask ! and obviously couldn't come up with anything.

Nevertheless, to the people that were helpful thank you very much I now know what i have to buy/get. THANKS !!!
