    Drain plug location

I have a 95 XP and it has one drain plug on the inside of the pump tunnel. I want to add a second one on the other side like the 97-98 X4s have to make it easier to drain out. Is there any reason they put the plug on the inside of the tunnel?

I think it should be fine on the back right? I see no ill effects (performance or structural) from doing this.

I added a second one on the other side of mine... but I put it in the same spot.

I just picked up a set of extra RXP plugs. Im doing two in the back, one on each side. I hate the stock location and Ive been dealing with it for years.
