Steam coming out of exhaust?
I am sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but just to ease my mind I have to ask....We took our skis out today for the first time and while idling there was steam/smoke coming out of the back on both skis....the steam/smoke would dissapate real quick after about a foot away from the jet ski
One more question....what should your jet ski idle at? WHen not pressing the gass we would still move 1-2 mph..is this also normal or is the ski idling to high?

my wife's RXP idles at 1800 RPM and roughly 3-4 mph
my 4-tec conversion idles closer to 4-6 mph at 1800 RPM
4-Tec conversion on a flush. The steam you are seeing is normal.

Just make sure you don't run your ski out of the water for very long...

Don't run it long on the hose either you will burn your carbon ring.
Next time on the water you will be taking in water for sure.
No more then a couple of minutes on the hose, and your safe!
