#11 Yamaha FZR Damage Repair Project (Updated)
**Pictures added of the finished top deck**
Some people have been sending me PM's asking about the damage that my #11 FZR took at the World Finals. After placing first overall in the qualify heats, I was in the 1st Moto for the World Championships. I was coming out of the split, about 3rd place. I got caught in some bad jet wash and lost traction. It got bumpy...and here come a slew of boats behind me coming out of control because the conditions where super choppy with 18 runabouts. I got hit on the side on the hull...it almost pushed me onto the rocks. I lucky avoided getting taken out by a Ultra 250 and I accelerated out of the mess in about 2 feet of water.
Later in the race I got hit again in the back on the top deck by another Ultra 250. I was not able to race in my final moto and my race day was over.
Performance Fiberglass of Southern California was at the World Finals. They are one of the few companies out there that have experience with the NanoCell hulls. And they back there work with a Lifetime Warranty. Here are some pics of the damage and repair process. When it is complete I will post some final pics.

Ouch!! Thx for posting this Carlos....the most important things is that you didnt get hurt. I have new respect for CC racers after this year....incredible endurance, tremendous speeds, and a very big risk factor for injury when u have so many big skis that r going this fast.......
Ride hard but stay safe....

Hey Carlos was wondering what happened. Some said it was a good hit or 2 but better the ski than you. Thats the WF'S though or IJSBA stuff...
bounce off like a berm and keep going.
I assume you will be at the awards..if so see ya there.
