You need the front cooling cover off of something like a Virage TXI or Genesis I.

Cover, gasket, bolts, water fittings, 3/8" hose, tee, through hull fitting. (pisser) Tee it in next to the tee that's already there feeding the pipe and exhaust manifold.

    McMaster Carr has nice filters.

Does this mod help a lot with cooling?

You know Bobolie, it would be hard to gauge how well it works, but it's definately one of those things that can't hurt, and even has to help. Anything that you can do to pull heat away from that mag cylinder and stator assembly is a plus. I know that most of the big dogs do it, and ever since I learned of it, it's hard to ignore, because it just makes sense. I really like that mod.
    Hope that kinda helped!!!

Well you know what makes it just a plain cool mod is the fact that you can just add one more pisser overboard NICE!!!

Tino I don't remember the exact temp difference but it dropped the front cylinder temperature quite a bit, it was considerably cooler even too the touch.

And the gasket (5812474, 5812011) of course. Or perhaps sealant, if you are careful.

Im sure you could use RTV or something similar in place of the gasket.
