    R & D Pro Steering Nozzle

    Does anyone have any experience with the R&D Pro Steering Nozzle? What I'm looking for is more top end. Does this add any?

    Put one on my RXP but I did almost all of my mods at the same time. Sorry, cannot tell you if it worked or not. I like the looks, but not worth the cost if just for aesthetics.

    Do you have a picture of one??
    I think I have one sitting in my garage. The one I have has the bore increased slightly, and the taper that is in the original nozzle is gone. Also, it's a tad bit longer than the stock nozzle.
    If memory serves me correctly, I didn't really see any top end increase, but, I saw improvements in bottom and mid-range power, as well as better handling.
    Send me a link to where the part is, and I'll see if it's what I have in the garage.

    The reason it's sitting in the garage was that I got the auto-drop nozzle, which had the same steering nozzle as the pro-nozzle, so I used that instead, until I sold all my aftermarket parts. Just to lazy to put this nozzle back on. Boat still does 68.5mph at 80 degree's, with 168 hours on it. I'm good with that.

    Look familiar;

    I have THE prototype

    I also did extensive testing on this setup. I may have gained a 1/10 or 2 in mile per hour, but that wasn't the goal really. Where I noticed the improvement the most, was out on the buoy course, driving from buoy to buoy. The handling was crisper and more predictable, and the bottom and mid-range was punchier.

    NOTE: This testing was done on a 2008 RXT-X. It will still work on the P-X, and may make an even more noticeable improvement in handling.

    Yes, it works just fine with the reverse intact.
