    Windows 7 Professional Upgrade

    I have a Windows 7 Professional Upgrade brand new in sealed package. I was going to use it myself but decided on keeping Vista. It is the Upgrade designed for Windows Vista.

    $140 plus shipping

    My loss is your gain I paid nearly $200 for it... Dumbass little 'ol me lost the receipt...

    I really dont know. The box says designed for Vista. Thats the one I was given when i asked for it and told the guy I had Vista...

    Actually OsideBill, the box says that if you have XP you will have to back up your files and settings, perform a clean install and then re-install your existing files, settings and programs.

    I guess you would not have to do that with Windows Vista.

    So to answer you question, relating to what the box says, yes you can use it with XP

    anyone going from xp to 7 needs to do a clean install..... going from vista to 7 is just an upgrade.....

    still always a good idea to back up your data when messing with the OS.... i have been running 7 Ultimate for about two months now and love it.... way better than vista....
