    prop removal

Hey guys, just about to pull my pump to change my wear ring. Just wondering is there any way of removing the prop without the correct tool? The prop needs to come out in order to change the wear ring correct?
    Cheers guys

If your just looking to replace the wear ring then NO. you dont need to take the prop out..Put the whole pump assembly and new wear ring into the freezer for a couple hours.pull the pump out of the freezer and take a pair of pliers or vise grips and pull the OEM one out..Then once the old ring is out let the pump assemby warm up to temp, then take the new ring out of the freezer and slide it into the pump assembly..thats it..pretty simple..

NO if your ring is gooved bad you may want to either pull the prop OR cut the old ring out with a dremel tool..THEN take the new, Frozen wear ring and slide it in..

Everything Snowman said is accurate. If your wear ring is not too bad, just flip it over and use the other half and get more use out of it! Too easy.............
