The genuine Polaris oil pumps are actually very reliable. I don't know how reliable the Yong Wang oil pump might be

The plastic thing inside the hole is probably the drive for the oil pump, and it is probably pressed or threaded onto the end of the crank shaft.

You could try unscrewing it using a screw driver in the slot. It might be a left hand thread

You may be able to just leave it in place, and cap the oil pump mount.

Photo hint: Use close-up mode on the camera, which is often identified with a flower icon.

So fill us in on it. How is the workmanship? Have you had to replace any part? And have you used Polaris or theirs? How's the quality? How about tossing A FEW PICTURES UP? We love photos.

    red top wang

well the virage triple pipes won't work as the pto pipe goes foward and will hit the front motor cross mount,i already had this idea, build a twin pipe virage for the wifey.but she says i'll just suffer riding the tx.the drive block for the oil pump should just slip on over the flywheel nut.problem is the block is bigger then the nut and no way is it coming thru that hole, its made of plastic and really shouldn't hurt anything, but yes the cover would have to come off.i say reinstall the oil pump and ride more worry less

im going with the blockoff sense i dont like oilpumps (previus experiense) but now i have a new problem, i removed the flywheel-cover and replaced the oilpump with the block-plate and its now inplace but i cant find one part from the flywheelcover.

it says both in the polaris and the yomgwang manual that there should be a spring, BUSHING (PLASTIC) inside the spring... but the other bushing is missing, what kind of bushing is this, do i need to buy a new???
