FX HO Blown Engine (Worst Ever)

2006 FX HO 35hrs and here s what is left of the engine.
Head and block are completely destroyed. Cylinder to rear dropped the rod fo some reason. No marking on th 4 cylinder bores.
Oil pump is locked up but i think this is due to chunks of the block getting in there. Only thing i can attribute it to is hydrolock. Owner said it was capsized and took ages to right it
    Amazingly the crank is undamaged.

Here are pics of this lump of junk

I had one of those. The con rod went and the then a stupid dealer rebuilt it with a new block and crank. But didn't have the sence to check if the piston had hit the valves when the rod went so 8 hrs later a valve dropped and at 11,000 it does a lot of damage...... No big hole in the block but the crank was damaged, head was shot, bore was scored etc.

I was lucky as Yamaha gave me all new bits to rebuild the engine as the stealership was a complete muppet.. Managed to keep a few bolts, flywheel and transfer gears.

I recently bought a 2007 FX HO yamaha with 25 hours on the gauge. It looked great inside the engine compartment and idled just fine. On the very first test ride on the water, on 6k RPM the engine blew up, (Threw a rod)
    Exactly like the pictures above.
And Dealer asks up to $7,000 to fix it.

I can see that the engine has been Rebuilt for sure.
