Question 2 stroke question from a 4 stroke guy

Hi guys, I have a question I have to ask from a friend.

"was wondering if you have any information on a solution to the problem of exhaust temperature alarms on a GP1300R after having an exhaust mod where the catalytic converter is removed and "D" plate fitted. I have heard it is a common problem due to corrosion of the temperature probe???

I have also heard that you can put in a chip that tricks the ECU and eliminates it???"

Any help would be highly appreciated as I'm not familiar with the Yamaha 2 strokes. This question is specifically regarding a 1300R. Thanks!

we wire in a resistor to shut off the alarm, but need the year of the craft to tell you the correct value

Take note, if you solder resistor in the wire is SS.
