Hard to install TDR Rear Exit waterbox on RXP-X?

Considering getting one of these for the sound and SWEET looks. The rear exit one that sells for $290 (Brush Finish)

Are they hard to install? Do all of the factory connections and sensor connect fine or?

    Thanks!

IMO it is a straight forward easy install and sounds very good.

Ocman, you got a link to what box you are looking at?????

I have not seen a TDR 08 water box with rear exit location.
They do make one for 08 setup that has the stock exit location out of water box and if that is what your looking at you will have to run a riva rear exhaust pipe if you want it rear exit.
But, you will probably have to relocate your intercooler if you run this setup.

You can run a TDR 07 box with j pipe setup as it has the rear exit out of box.

The Riva 08 box does have exhaust exit to hook right up to thru hull.

THe install is fairly easy which ever way you go on the P.

    HOpe that helps.

If they make one that has the 07 style exhaust exit on box, but has the 08 midpipe entrance then that is the way to go.

I have been saying that all along.

I Really dig the sound and want to get the box over the winter BUT.

I would need to buy block offs and remove opas, buy the rear exhaust kit and then the Box iteslf.

About 800 Bucks for not even much a performance gain.....

IF you can get one that has the rear exit on water box for 08 mid pipe, then you need REs, box and tip. So your about right on with cost. Its not cheap but sure cleans up the hull and sounds much better out the back.

If you are like me and pulling the pump all the time to access prop, then you will like not having all the exhuast smut on your pump. JMO

My Ski only has 38 Hours never seen anything on the pump. Pulled it twice.

But yes they do make an 08 model that flows straight out the back and MAN does it look sweet.

I just got through selling my stock IC Bracket and All hoses.

Picked up and XS for 80 bucks and all of the pipes, hoses and couplers/clamps from Max Performance today for 122 Shipped.

Going to do the install that sporsterforme posted until I figure out if I want to spend all that money.

How much is the RXP-X waterbox worth?
