    750SLT Decals

The original decals have extensive signs of wear! So while I have it tore down for topend & fuel sys. rebuild , I was able to pull the decal off easy enough. The trouble is all the adhesive glue left behind ,Could somebody suggest a product or method that I can use & not damage the gelcoat.
    Thanks Brian

There are other products, but I would start with WD-40. It should soften the adhesive (give it a few minutes to work), so you can then scrape it off with a plastic scraper.

In fact, removing labels and goo is about all I use WD-40 for these days.

It just isn't very good at anything else. There are much better oils, solvents, rust removers, etc.

Side note>>>>> When using these, use a high speed rub out wheel, not a drill. The drill won't turn fast enough to generate enough heat for it to work!. These work like an eraser, once the stripe heats up, the eraser takes it right off. all you'll see after is the bright gelcoat undearneath!.
