Pro 785 pipes in a SL hull?

Am I opening a huge can of worms, or can Pro 785 pipes be fitted into an SL hull? Either on a 785 or with adapters of some type to a 750? How do the pipes fit on the Pro 785? Anyone got pics that show specifics like the head pipes, and the collecter pipe or whatever is used?

If your going to do it buy a 785 motor ,pipes ,electrical box and 6 vane pump and put it in your hull otherwise you'll be wasting your time

It's no 785, but it has pro pipes. and I'm stoked at how things have turned out.

No but if you would have put a 785 motor in from the beginning it probrably would have been cheaper .
and it was a lot of work and you must have the skills and pataience like you do to pull something off like you did
Money wise it's not economical though but the project part and work you did are AWESOME

You're right. If I had it to do over again, I'd do things a bit differently. All in all, it was a fun project!

Anyhow James, you would have bigger obstacles than I had with your hull. The fuel fill location would need to be relocated from the bow to the side to give room for the collector. Check the pics....

WOW! That is one super clean looking ski Starflight!!! I read through your project thread and I am amazed at the amount of work it took to pull that off! Great Job!!! I don't think I have the attention span to be able to do something that involved.

I don't know, but last time out I kinda wished it were an slt. At speed, it's wanting to porpoise badly even at neutral trim position on glass. I'll go into more detail on that later.

Trim tabs may help. It will lengthen the "perceived" hull.
