How it all began.....
I hope you guys get a kick out of these pics. I was in the 6th grade on a 1991 50hp waverunner III, then I moved up in the 8th grade and got a 1993 63hp ProVXR, that ended up with a Pro-Tec wake up kit installed in the 9th grade.

The middle pic was a wide open "power slide". The WRIII hull was very forgiving. Try sliding at WOT on a ski now days.

look at the little dago. soooo cuuutttteeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I started almost on almost the same 2 skis. a 88 wr500, then a 93 vxr650. yes, the pink one. but it had a factory pipe and at 45mph was fast as hell for the time.

First ski for me was my 96 Raider 1100 that had the GroupK Sleeper+ kit on it. It was an amazing fast ski 10 years ago...
Awesome pics...I love pics....folks just never put them up often.

Now that's what jet skiing is all about!!!!
if Yamaha started to sell a small 4 stroke hull that drifted like that, they would make a fortune!!!!!

Sleeper, that must have been a fast ski in its time. Friend has a ski like that and it was our local dealers race ski. I believe its a 91'-93' model. I rode it alot 2 years ago. I will tell you i had an absolute BLAST riding it. Not alot of power but you get completely soaked, can spin them around, just a blast! I enjoyed riding it and ill be honest, on hot days, i would not mind owning one, just to cool off with.

The WRIII ran about 40mph and was bullet proof. I ended up putting it in our rental fleet in 1994. The ProVxr was a blast with the Pro-Tec wake up kit installed. It ran 50 and got there in about 4 or 5 seconds. I could beat 94 Raiders out of the hole all the way to my topspeed and beat Waveblaster II's.
