    Angry 96 polaris 1050 problems

hello i was riding my Polaris last summer and it ran great all day. but when i went to load up it started bogging down and acting like the plugs were about to fail. so when i got home the next day i pulled the plugs and put new ones in and it still wouldn't start.. so i pulled the plugs to see if i had spark..it has spark but looks real weak. and if you spin it over for a couple of minuets it looses all spark. any suggestions

Make sure your battery is good you must have over 12v while cranking

you could have the same problem I have with my SLtx 1050. the battery got down and cooked the stator and CDI. I am in the process of replacing. THe domestic motor is noted to have this problem if the original ignition system is in place and not updated.

I had the same type of problem and it was a weak battery, but mine would do that after it hadn't been started for a couple of weeks, and it is a bit strange that yours would start doing it after a day of riding, when you'd expect the battery to be at it's strongest.

when a battery fails, or truely goes bad, alot of times, just charging it will not do it.

it is possible your VR is not working, and maybe your battery was going dead from just plain running.

you will have to do some testing. changing out the stator / CDI is a BIG job, i wouldn't recomend just throwing parts at it until your sure you need them.

    good luck. zig
