    What ECUs Does Everyone Prefer/Why

    Guys lets keep this simple with out bashing other brands.

    Looking for best all round ECU with performance that makes most power and nice curves

    ECU on the Market
    Rotax Racing
    Seadoo Centre
    RIVA
    OEM

    For me i want an ECU that Revs past 8800rpm with brutal power all the way through.
    What have people experienced with different ECUs pros and cons.

    I have had each of the ones mentioned and I would say some of it depends on what year ECU you need for your ski. The 04/05 rotax and riva revved to 8550 and 8600 respectively, while the newer ECU by rotax go to 8800. Obviously seadoo centre can put the rev limit to your needs.
    I liked the riva best on my 05 ski because it had a good acceleration and maintained the knock sensor. IMO the rotax hit the hardest or had the best accleration but no knock sensor.
    The seadoo center was good but was not safe AFR running WOT for long stretches, although you can send it back for the fueling to be altered and I am sure get it to fit your exact needs. I am guessing on this but I would think seadoocentre ECUs are geared more for CC racing.

    Mate the Riva ECU is the best out the imo.


    It is so versatile and works on alot of different setup. I have run mine from stock to full on turbo and it works perfect.


    Plug Riva ECU and 50's and you will see a 250 RPM gain just from the ECU alone.

    What about a Motec? It costs a lot more, but you'll be able to play with the curves yourself.

    safer keeps the knock sensor and buds working..

    a little less power and rpm than the rotax ...but safe...it really wakes it up it is way snappier when you rev it ..getting a little cavitation.... i never had before...due to more bottom end power

    I run les cooke ecu, Best ecu out there u just got to tell him to add 20% more fuel to the map and 60lb injectors work fine,fuel pressure is set @48psi

    what is your idle AFR?
    Are you running a rude fuel controler or just a rising rate?
