    gpr cranks

    is the snout the only week point with these cranks or are there other problems

    ahh the search ID expired, thats why.

    However, i simply did an advanced search on the yamah 2 stroke performance areas using the key words "broken crank"

    slap full boogie, i dare ya.

    To answer your question, no. The gpr crank has been known to eat the main bearings on stock engines. The snout cracking seems to happen on gpr's more than xlt's, which makes me think it's due to the unhooking of the gpr. Also, there are some pretty crappy aftermarket rebuilders on gpr cranks right now. Buyer beware.

    o well just have to throw more $$$ at this bastard then wheres the cheapest oem crank ??? ps thanks for the info

    i have 2 second hand ones here but dont know if i should use one or buy a new oem

    Once you start making serious power. 250+

    True/weld, better main bearings C4's, and Crankworks front bearing mod SKF.

    aluminum flywheels or bearing on the cover mod helps the front bearing.
