    2009 shop book

    i just purchased the 2009 supplement for my rxp-x and it says that @ approx. 150hrs. that a supercharger maintenance code it thrown and the supercharger has to be replaced within 2 hrs....is this true!....if i had of known this i might have purchased a non s/c model instead!

    Not true, you don't have to replace your supercharger, only rebuild it.
    The supercharger has a clutch assembly. Clutches are wear items and do need replacing over time.

    Seadoo's recommendation is to rebuild it every 100 hours. You will get a "maint" message on your display reminding you of the required service. The message has to be cleared by your dealer using the BUDS software.

    cool....still how much does it cost to rebuild the s/c?

    You can do it yourself if you get the tools or you can send it to me for service.

    roughly how many hours does it take....to do it your self with the mentioned kit?

    For a first timer to pull the supercharger, rebuild it and reinstall it I'd say 2.5 to 3 hours.

    Plus your going to need somes tools.

    He will have it back to sooner then you could do it yourself.
