    Intake manifold

    How rare is it to find a sidedraft intake manifold for redtop carbs for a 750 engine? Also, is there any mods that need to be done to the carbs to make them work in the sidedraft position?

    They're out there, just need to find them.

    I gave a set away a few years back.

    Yes, mods need to be done.

    First would be the linkage needs to be tied together, because they don't sit the same way they do on downdraft manifolds.

    Randy said something needed to be addressed internally too. Can't remember what it was though.....

    i have a bunch of sidedraft intakes if you go that route

    i have pics i'll post them tonight ,you need to turn the carbs and redo the linkage on them

    the tune of the carbs will be a little different from the stronger signal. you will need a higher pop off.

    John's right it also depends on which way you face the diaphrams up or side ways for your jetting

    it's not that hard but to me it isn't worth it

    Besides eliminating the bend in the intake manifold, what's the advantages of side draft setups vs. down draft?
