How good are the stock 09 X waterbox's?
If you have 13 lbs of boost how much would you gain by getting an aftermarket or gutted waterbox?

You'll gain room with an aftermarket box... to pull your charger out to check the slip

Its better then a j pipe setup.. (07 older)
ON the T-X I ran at some point:
stock free flow pipe
stock thru hull
gibson with thru hull
stock gutted and shortend water box with thru hull
The gibson and stock gutted performed the best but not by much. Most gain seemed out of the hole.
I was only running 11 psi but i dought a whole lot of difference at 13 psi.
I would not expect alot gain in changing boxes or gutting your box. If you looking for tenths then go for it.

Depending on what riva thru hull pipe you have you may have to mod it. I had one of the older ones and to make it clear the hull on top i had to cut some of the end where it connects to water box.
Here some pics of my gutted and shortend box and the setup in ski.
You can see how close my pipe was to hull. May fit different on P.
