    X Waterbox

How good are the stock 09 X waterbox's?
If you have 13 lbs of boost how much would you gain by getting an aftermarket or gutted waterbox?

    Thanks, Ken

You'll gain room with an aftermarket box... to pull your charger out to check the slip

I had a T-X and the 08-09 setup is good.
Its better then a j pipe setup.. (07 older)
ON the T-X I ran at some point:
    stock setup
    stock free flow pipe
    stock thru hull
    gibson with thru hull
stock gutted and shortend water box with thru hull

The gibson and stock gutted performed the best but not by much. Most gain seemed out of the hole.
I was only running 11 psi but i dought a whole lot of difference at 13 psi.

I would not expect alot gain in changing boxes or gutting your box. If you looking for tenths then go for it.

Are you talking complete stock X setup?
Or are you going to run it with riva pipe and thru hull???

Same setup I was running on my ski when i sold it. Sundance is still running the samesetup on the ski and is happy with it.

Depending on what riva thru hull pipe you have you may have to mod it. I had one of the older ones and to make it clear the hull on top i had to cut some of the end where it connects to water box.

Here some pics of my gutted and shortend box and the setup in ski.
You can see how close my pipe was to hull. May fit different on P.

Nice set up. Put a 6" piece of 4" exhaust hose in place of the 3" piece. You will have to make or mod the rear exit pipe. The SCer will come out quick without touching the waterbox and hoses after this mod.

THat is what "sundance" did to that setup once he bought the ski. I havnt seen it but he said he cut the riva thru hull pipe somewhere in half, removed some of it to fit and used a coupler to join it back together.
