    Cool Replacing Plug Wires

Anyone know the proper procedure to get the plug wires out of the ignition coils without damaging the coils? I want to replace my old ignition wires.

    Thanks,
    Danvhp

chip, aren't they molded into the end of the coil packs on the Polaris?

There was a member on the unmentionable forum that said it could be done. I was curious if anyone had any info concerning how to do it.

    Plug wires.

The early Polaris twins & triples, SL-900-1050, etc have plug wires that can be "unscrewed" from the coil pack. The newer updated twin & triple coils will pull right out of the coil and are held in with a snap-ring internally. The "Fuji" coils do not have removable wires. 650-750-780-785 Pro. If you need Fuji coils, I have a ton in stock & will sell them for $25.00 per coil.
    Thanks,
    Rj

Ah good info for my tech gallery. You know in all my years I've still yet to replace a Polaris coil.

I didn't think that 13 year old plug wires would be very good to run, but that sucks that I have to replace the coil to get new wires. Go figure! LOL

Indirectly you replaced my bad coil

Your replacement coil is what finally made my ski run correctly (aside from overheating of course) and allowed the correct plug gap.
