    Post Gp 1200r WOT Issue

I've seen some really great posts from alot of people on here and now require help myself.

I have a 2000 gp1200r that seems to stall or bog going from idle to WOT.

The craft starts up with no issues and runs fine with no load on the engine.

Any possible suggestions on what my issue may be and how i should attempt to correct this?

More information would help with answering the question.

First, obvious questions... Carbs adjusted correctly?

Next... well, could be many different things.

Did you just get the ski? Was it running well and then stopped?

When dealing w/ bog... first thing I usually check is fuel system.

Are the power valves operating properly? If they are staying closed, that could be your problem. I would also check the fuel filter, then move on to the carbs if none of this works.

Well, I've just gotten the ski. Yesterday was my first run on the water with it and I immediately noted the bog while going WOT.

I'm going to check fuel system and change fuel filter.

Some suggested i put a carb cleaner in my fuel system. Are there any pitfalls of adding that to my 2 strokes fuel system?

Carb cleaner in fuel is not likely to help. Checking powervalves for proper operation and rebuilding the carbs are probably the cause of bogging.

I agree with booger. I have a feeling the pv might be stuck closed. If not that its got to be something in the carbs.

Get 3 rebuild kits for the carbs and give them a go thru check the accelarator pump on the rear carb 2 we do 100s a year on these models.
