    Hey,
which rod gives the best results for top speed? Or which would you recommend to start out with? I have a stage 1 06 rxp. any input would be appreciated.

I do not speak from experience but I hear that they do not work well on modified machines.

Maybe someone that has tried one can chime in?

From what I have heard both.

On a stock machine with stock prop I had a buddy get 1mph but said he did not notice any differance once removing it from his Stage II.

Their web site states.... "Gain .5 to 1.5 more top end. Makes a noticeable difference in the low end and midrange as well. (Note - This unit performs well on stock craft, and crafts with handling mods, or lite engine mods - We do not recommend this unit for modified craft.)

I sent them an email inquiring about what mod levels go too far for their product....I will share their reply.

Quick reply from the AAT folks

    WOW...quick reply!!!

here is what they had to say about mods....

Clayton, we are talking about engine mods, intercoolers etc. Boats with minor modifications such as your respond well to the AAT. You will notice a stronger pull in the low end and midrange, as well as around a mile an hour on top end. Thank you for your interest in our products.

Steve, did you get tuning instructions with your cone? Assuming you have one of our new models with the dual stage shuttles, you can find tuning instructions at http://www.wetwolf.com/tunvar.html

I would venture a guess that you will end up using the long bolt and a 2.25 or 2.5 shuttle. but if you follow the tuning sheet, it's pretty easy to dial in.

Well I have about 7 shuttles and use the middle one with the shorter bolt...Ya will have to play around with it back to back testing. I'm about to have the nozzle with rings and run the AAT.. BUT I will be testing the stock cone once everything is dialed in.
